Food Service

The Food Services department provides balanced meals and quality service to district students. Responsibilities of the food services team include:

  • Menu Planning

  • Purchasing and Storage

  • Preparing and Serving Food

  • Regulations and Compliance

  • Sanitation and Safety Procedures

  • Coordination with Outside Groups

Food Service Account Balance

If a balance remains on your student’s account at the end of the school year, you have the following options:

  1.  If your student is returning to Lincoln-Way for the following school year, the remaining amount will carry over for use during the new school year. This happens automatically. Therefore, no action is required on your end for the balance to carry over. 

  1. If your student is not returning to Lincoln-Way, you may:

    1. Transfer the balance to any outstanding fees that are due to the district.

    2. Transfer the balance to a family member.

    3. Request, via email, that a refund check be mailed for the remaining balance in the food service account.

For any decision made under item #2, please send an email to the school bookkeeper at the building your student attended. See contact information below.
