Welding students posing with raffle prize

The Lincoln-Way welding program in partnership with SkillsUSA is proud to announce the launch of their annual fundraiser, which will culminate in the district-wide welding contest on March 14th. This year, all funds raised will go toward scholarships, tools, and equipment for deserving Lincoln-Way trades students.

To reach their fundraising goal, the program will be raffling off a brand new 2023 Vivid EV Model V4 Monster Golf Cart with an estimated value of $14,000. Tickets will be on sale for $10 starting February 5th, and the winner will be drawn at the welding contest next month. Raffle tickets may be purchased from any Lincoln-Way student involved in SkillsUSA or enrolled in welding courses. Tickets may also be purchased at US 30 Auto Sales, located at 1953 Airway Ct in New Lenox.

The annual welding contest is a district-wide event that includes students from all 3 Lincoln-Way high schools.   Hosted at Lincoln-Way Central’s welding shop, the event will begin at 4:00pm on March 14th. The raffle will be held at approximately 8:00 pm.

Over the past two years SkillsUSA and Lincoln-Way Welding has donated over $21,000 to charities including the PFC Aaron Toppen Foundation, the Illinois USO, American Heart Association and the J and J Memorial Foundation.
