Congratulations to the Air Force Junior ROTC Drill Team for a tremendous overall 2nd place performance at the Lincoln-Way East High School Drill Competition last night. The following teams had an astonishing evening: Winning 1st place award was the Armed Color Guard, Armed Inspection and the Unarmed Inspection teams. Congratulations to Hannah Nader for winning 2nd place out of 80 in Unarmed Knock-Out.
Bridges are breaking today! The Science Department is hosting the annual Bridge Building Competition and we have a number of students who built bridges for this year’s event.
We are days away from Student Council’s Polar Express event! They have a number of holiday activities planned from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm this Saturday, December 17 at Lincoln-Way West High School. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $10 per child. Cash only. Families should enter at the main entrance for the event.

Ava Ferree is the Lincoln-Way West Super Fan for the month of November! Ava is a senior who is involved in the Welcome Crew, Student Council, Principal’s Cabinet, and Warrior Way. She also represents the Warriors on our Competitive Dance team and has been selected as a member of the National Honor Society and Lincoln-Way Math Honor Society. Her favorite memory as a Warrior was experiencing the IHSA State Dance competition in person during her junior year when the Warriors finished their season in 4th place.

We had a number of Lincoln-Way West students volunteering at Navy Pier this past weekend with our AFJROTC program! Students had the opportunity of helping the United States Coast Guard offload 1,200 trees from the USCG Cutter Mackinaw which will then be distributed to Chicago families in need.
Congratulations to Lincoln-Way West student, Marie DeSilva! Her acrylic painting was awarded the "People's Choice" Award at this year's Vogt Visual Arts Center High School Exhibition.
