Griffins! This week stop during lunch hours to purchase your Mr. & Miss Griffin/Talent Show tickets for Saturday, March 9th from 7:00-9:30pm in LWE Auditorium. These tickets are $10.00. Cash or checks payable to LWE are accepted forms of payment.
The community is invited to the annual ArtWorks Festival being held at L-WAY EAST on Saturday, March 16th from 10am-3pm. The festival will include artwork from 32 area schools K-12, hands-on art activities for kids, music performances, face painting, and concessions. The event is free to the public. See the attached image for more information and a schedule of activities.
Students for Life created positive messages for St. Patrick's Day for women who may be facing difficult situations in their pregnancy. Life savers and Andes chocolates were included to remind them of the tough mountains they climb that helps save a life.
Mrs. Strain's English 1 Honors students unlocked clues from the book "1984", written by George Orwell in a three-part escape room. The students collaborated in groups and projected their escape room clues at their station.

LWE Mathletes captured their 4th straight regional championship beating Sandburg by 148 points. The Geometry team, precalculus team and freshman/sophomore 8-person team all took first place. Second place finishes for algebra 1, algebra 2, calculator team, junior/senior 2-person, and oral presentation. Individual first places by Jaxson Plutz, 36/40 in algebra 1, Kaitlyn Poidomani, 34/40 in geometry, and Max Bacon, 26/40 in precalculus. Also medaling, Ben Hayward, Alex Gartelmann, Griffin Chojnacki, Bryson Das, Ashlyn Huizanga, Gabe Alva, and Madelyn Dryier. Congratulations, Griffins!
SCHOLASTIC BOWL SOUTHWEST SUBURBAN CONFERENCE CHAMPIONS! At both levels! Frosh-Soph defended their title winning over Lockport, Stagg, and Sandburg. Varsity took home the conference crown by defeating Lincoln-Way West, LW Central, and Homewood-Flossmoor!

Lincoln-Way East theater program is preparing for the production of Rainbow Fish for young audiences. They will be traveling to local elementary schools and preforming at LWE on March 16th at 1pm and March 17th at 3pm.
Today is Random Acts of Kindness Day! To encourage students to commit a kind act, the S.A.D.D. Club created flyers that are hanging in classrooms. Take a compliment tab off the flyer and give it to another classmate. #east
The Lincoln-Way East HS music department is hosting three Fish Fry events on Feb 16, March 1 and 8. These run 5-8pm and are open to the community.
Guests will not only enjoy a fresh, hot meal, but can also listen to performances by talented high school musicians. Depending on the night, there may be jazz bands, vocalists, orchestra, or guitar performances. Adult fish dinners are $15 and include a cookie and drink. Senior tickets are $12. $6 grilled cheese and fries meals, which also include a cookie and drink, for the kids or those not interested in fish.
If you dine in, enjoy the music and visit the raffle table for some great prizes provided by supportive local businesses. Carry out is available.

Congratulations to our Rocket League E-Sports team for winning the Evergreen park invitational this Saturday! They swept the entire tournament and did not lose a game, winning 3-0 in finals against Evergreen park. Smash Crew also participated, going 1-2 for the invite. Congrats!
