Lincoln-Way East held their annual Community Scholarship Night on May 4th where 136 graduating seniors were recognized with awards and scholarships.
74 community organizations sponsored 176 scholarships this year, which included two Chick Evans Scholars and four military appointments to U.S. Air Force Academy, U.S. Naval Academy, MIT ROTC, and Virginia Military Institute ROTC. The scholarship donations amounted to $120,550. When adding the estimated monetary amounts of Chick Evans Scholars and the military appointments, the grand total in scholarships awarded this year was $1,720,430.00. This amount is more than has been awarded in the previous five years.
We appreciate the organizations for their time, effort, and support in making these scholarships available to our seniors. We are proud of our students and honored that the organizations recognized them as worthy recipients.
